Learn to grow food with my online course. This course offers everything you need to get started on your growing journey & have successful harvests right from your very first year of growing food. We’ll cover topics like setting up a new growing space, planning for the growing year ahead, soil and making compost, working with nature to boost yields, raising plants, and managing pests and weeds. You will also receive free copies of my e-book and planting plans for a fully comprehensive learning experience. This course is aimed at the beginner level, you don’t need any experience. You don’t even need to have a garden set up already, because we will cover that on the course too. The most important thing with gardening is that you enjoy it! This course will equip you with the skills and knowledge you need to enjoy growing your own food.

Module 2 - What to Grow
This module will help you establish your goals for the growing season ahead. I always find that having a goal keeps me focused, ultimately leading to better results. We’ll talk about how to balance growing goals with the time & space you have available. Finally, we’ll look at a handy chart that shows the effort vs reward of growing different vegetables.

Module 3 - How To Set Up a New Growing Space
There’s a lot to consider when setting up your new growing space. In this module we cover setting up a new vegetable garden. We will look at choosing where to situate your garden, water sources, different path options & size and type of beds. We will also see a demonstration of a ground level (no dig) bed being made. We’ll then move onto extending the growing season and what to plant first once you have set up your garden. Finally I walk you through my favourite gardening tools.

It’s important to help wildlife for the sake of helping wildlife, but often bringing wildlife into the garden helps our gardens too. In this module we cover how to attract wildlife into the garden and how to further improve biodiversity with the crops we choose to grow.
